County Card

Male Members of Recognised or Other Clubs may become Individual County Members by applying for membership in writing on the appropriate form (which may be obtained from the Club of which they are members) or by downloading and printing it from the County website. Once completed and signed by the applicant and the Secretary of the applicant’s club it should be sent to the Secretary of the Union with the appropriate fee and such application shall be considered and decided by him.
On payment of the joining fee of £10.00 and an annual subscription, currently £10.00 per annum due on the 1st January each year, Individual male County Members will receive the County Handbook. This book contains the County Card and a list of the Kent clubs that participate in the reciprocal 'reduced green fee scheme' that operates under the rules of the County Union. Individual male County Members of Kent clubs may also obtain similar concessions from co-operating clubs in Participating Counties where similar 'County Card Schemes' operate on the same reciprocal basis.

About Us

The main purpose of the Kent County Golf Union is to promote the game of golf by various means such as the organisation of Championships and matches, and by other means, deemed appropriate by the Council of the Union, that serve to raise the standard and profile of the game in the County. The KCGU is also the representative body in the County that acts in conjunction with the English Golf Union to administer the interests of amateur male golfers throughout the Country.
The entire management of the affairs of the Union are vested in a Council consisting of one male member from each Golf Club belonging to the Union. The general management of the Union is then exercised by a Committee appointed annually by the Council.
All male club golfers in the County have the opportunity to belong to the County Union as Individual Members and are encouraged to do so.
By this means participants in the game can more easily take an interest in, and have a closer association with, the administration of golfing activities in the County and the Country.
